Does anyone know where I can get a hold of some scythes for my nurgle terminators? I don't feel like buying five boxes of Glottkin for that one bit on the sprue.

On a related note, how do you load your terminators (of any flavour)? I'm planning for these terminators to be dropped into battle by being spat out of a giant plague drone (or a 'teleportarium chamber' if you believe the lying rulebooks!) and apart from the scythes which I will be calling power fists, I've got no idea how to properly equip them for fightin' and winnin'.

There's always the Forge World scythes.
https://www.forgeworld.co.uk/en-US/Death-Guard-Deathshroud-Power-Scythes

and other 3rd party bits sellers sell them. I don't know which ones off the top of my head, but check out Puppetswar and Anvil Industry.

I'm on a podcast about (video) game design:

A lot of 3rd party resin options. I'm not sure which of these might carry them, but the common ones:

Anvil Industries
Kromlech
Bitspudlo
Spellcrow
Maxmini.eu
Puppets of War

etc. You could also google "resin Warhammer scythes" or something and probably find a bunch of options.

Are these Nurgle Terminators in a normal CSM force, or meant for a DG force? If for the latter, wait till the codex drops since there have been pictures of possible Terminators for them and given that the Blight Launcher became a thing for Nurgle marines, it stands to reason that Terminators might get different weapon loadouts too.

Otherwise, combi plasmas are generally the go-to ranged weapon for them if you're not going dual-claws.

Thanks - the Forge World ones are exactly the sort of thing I was after - should have checked myself first!

I'm trying to build and paint a few units from every Legion to represent an Undivided warband. Do you have a link for the photos? If they're coming out soon I might hold off on getting any more and use the five terminators I've got for a different Legion.

Spoiler:

According to the rumor thread, that's a potential Terminator with a new gun. However it seems like it might be a DG-only thing (as in while you can include it in a normal CSM force, it will gain less benefits than a Nurgle Terminator)

full rumor roundup is here: https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/732375.page

Furthermore, Death Guard cannot currently take terminators, and are specifically listed in their fluff as having really good terminators (including the Lord of Contagion terminator lord they already have), so even if that's not a picture of the new DG terminator there certainly will be one.

I did see that the fluff said they relied on terminators, and yet there weren't any in the list - I guess I'm going to have to wait and see!

Nottingham (yay!)

WRT Terminator loadout: currently building four combi-plasma, four combi-melta, two heavy Flamers; two each of PF, CF, PA, PM, LC; Icon of Wrath.

Teleport in, Sorcerer in position to cast Warptime (maybe Prescience too, especially if there's no Lord to give Plasma re-rolls), destroy several units with shooting then charge.

Considering the charge distance is likely to be 4", I'm considering switching to Icon of Excess for a glorious double shooting phase, as I can easily throw a command re-roll at an abysmal charge.

Meltas are probably less effective than full Plasma, but I'm sure I'll have a few games where they are made of win.

I'm actually a fan of tactical termies. Yeah, I know, people love to hate on them. But with the reduction of the cost of powerfists by eight points apiece, and stormbolters shooting four times within 12", I'm really liking them this edition. And the best thing to supplement the storm bolters is an assault cannon IMO. Bring on the dice storm!

The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

AC is lit, much better than Reaper Autocannon. I don't even bother with RAC now, Heavy Flamers are the business for me.

If you have any Sylvaneth players locally ask them. Kurnoth Hunters come with four in the box.

How does the IoE give you a second shooting phase? I thought the bonus dice you would get from fives (four with prescience) only occurred in the Fight phase?

It's a Stratagem - the unit's Mark of Khorne is WYSIWYG'd by their Icon of Wrath; switching to a Mark of Slaanesh, WYSIWYG'd by an Icon of Excess, would make them eligible for Endless Cacophony, which trades 2CP for an extra round of shooting.

It's academic, as I'm reserving that Stratagem for Plasma Chosen, and keeping my Termies as Khornate, for the even more horrific (for a PW-heavy unit which re-rolls charges) Fury of Khorne.

Now, to work out where all these CPs are coming from...
