I've recently gotten my hands on a 40k scale Forge World Dactylis model (the "tomato chucker" if you will), and from what I read it seems to be quite rare. I can't find any record of one selling anywhere except a reference to one selling on Ebay for $200 made in a post that is several years old, and the writer of that post didn't know if this price was low, high, or reasonable. I've got no clue how to get an accurate guess at what it might be worth, so any assistance would be much appreciated.

I think you'll find that the dactylis is actually made by armorcast. Hopefully that'll help a little.

It's actually not, although from what I've read it's a common mistake. It was made by "Forge World" -- note that this is not the same as the current Forgeworld UK. The original Forge World was a small outfit in Modesto, CA. Close proximity to Armorcast but different company. Armorcast made the Exocrine, Haruspex and Malefactor while Forge World made the Dactylis: http://www.collecting-citadel-miniatures.com/wiki/index.php/Resin_Vehicles_%26_Titans. This is perhaps why the Dactylis is apparently a lot rarer than these others.

EDIT: also checked ebay for "armorcast dactylis" and got no hits

Have you tried 'Armourcast', using the native spelling of armour?

No idea if eBay's search thing is smart enough to pick up on such nuance?

They're pretty rare, you see them come up on ebay sometimes but not very often.
What's the quality like? If it's in good condition, I'd say list it at around £100 ($150) in an auction and see what happens.
