Hi all,

I would like some recommendations for a good drill and flexible file / sanding sticks.

I've bought a few drills and I always struggle with them, I need something that will support 1mm and 1.6mm (maybe just suck it up and buy the GW version? ).

Also, any pointy tools for making pilot holes for the drill.

don't know about flexible sanding sticks but i have this pin vice:

Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!

I have two drills: GW and some full metal one from ebay. I have to say, that I like the metal one, since GW one seems too large for my hands. Also, metal one houses second head for different size drills.

Now if your drill keeps sliding back in, no matter how hard you try to tighten it, just put a few cm long piece of brass rod inside - works like a charm.

As for sanding files, I found that having a brand new mold line scrapper is waaay better than files. Well, at least sanding needles, since they pretty much do nothing and get wasted really fast.

I use the drill above and use the point of my scalpel to make a guide indent for the hole.

I've used cheap metal files and emery boards to varying degrees of success.
