So what's people's opinions on the guys? Think they are wroth taking in a group of 20? Quick run down on them

20 models 1 wound each 200 points
16 inches hit and wound 4/4 -1 rend 1 damage
Rolls of 6 are double damage
One use napalm bomb hits on 2 d3 mortal wounds
Reroll save throws of 1 for missiles

And the big one, if they have 10 or more they can attack twice when shooting at a monster

They seem good but their 4/4 seems kinda weak

What's your thought? Worth it?

To many unpainted models to count.

So I use these guys with my niffty Chaos Dwarf army, and the shooting twice against monsters was an awesome ability. However, when I downloaded the new revised rules on my phone at work today they have changed the "Bring Down the Beast!" ability to now work like this: "Infernal Guard Fireglaives have felled monstrous beasts of every description with relentless volleys from their deadly firearms. Add 1 to the wound rolls from Pyrelock Fireglaives if the target is a Monster. "

But when I downloaded the updated rules from the FW website when I got home, it still showed the shoot twice ability. The difference is in the year at the bottom of the PDF's pages, 2015 is shoot twice, 2017 is +1 to wound rolls. I just bought another few sets of them too a few weeks back...

+1 to wound rolls isn't quite as good as shoot twice, but has strong synergy with their weapon which does double damage on wound rolls of 6+.

At any rate, it's a good unit, particularly against monsters (obviously!)

I chose an avatar I feel best represents the quality of my post history.

I try to view Warhammer as more of a toolbox with examples than fully complete games.

Also of note, the +1 to wound still only applies to monsters, but it no longer has the 10 or more unit size requirement. In the last game I played I had split my Fireglaives into two units of 10 each, to guard my flanks from his dragons, a boltthrower knocked one of the units down to 9 and negated the double fire effect, so maybe this will workout better in the long run. But it felt so damn good to knock out a vampire lord on a zombie dragon in one volley in my first game!
