Just wondering if anyone has faced 15 Berzerkers using the forward operatives stratagem ?
Very new to me Ouch
Then once they were into my lines I had Magnus with a 3+ ward save re rolling ones to deal with.

How to deal with this , if they know they are going first , it's always going to be 15 Berzerkers in your face.
It's hard enough fighting Magnus

Bubble wrap appropriately is the only real way to stop the Zerserkers doing there thing. Place models so the forward operative placement is not ideal and stagger your deployment so the charge they get isn't against something meaty.

Magnus is Magnus and is now -1 to hit AND 3+ Invun re-rolling 1s. There is no "Good" way of handling him.

What do you play? Shoot them off the table is my advice but I play sisters and death guard. Use the going second strategy by forward deploying your stuff. They can only use one unit and that unit has zero invuln.

Also I do not understand people using that tactic when the renegade legion plus a sorceror with warp speed is so much better.

How is he getting -1 to hit? He can't take the Alpha Legion keyword (Being hard-coded to the Thousand Sons) and being a LoW would likely be in his own detachment anyway - if he isn't, it's an illegal list as you can't take the Alpha Legion LT in the detachment as it wouldn't be battle-forged with Magnus/non-AL in it.

Still, weight of fire is your only real hope against him. And as others have said, you need to screen/bubblewrap against the Berzerkers.

Ah, he didn't mention the buff from the Changeling so didn't think he meant that.

I played a list of 12 AL oblits with MoS so one unit can -1 to their wound roll and shoot twice in one phase, with a lord nearby and having prescience on them they murdered most of my army turn 1 the buffed squad killed magnus who failed to deny a death hex and a squad of 10 termies and the other 3 squads killed a maulerfiend and an admittedly out of place Belakor, all in the opponents turn 1.

I was unlucky and hadnt fathomed how powerful oblits were if used correctly but magnus can be killed easily turn 1.

Facts are chains that bind perception and fetter truth. For a man can remake the world if he has a dream and no facts to cloud his mind.

New Oblits are hugely legit. Just great! That's before you start buffing them / using strategems

I've been using 3x 3 Obliterators (1 Slaanesh, 2 Tzeentch) and am expanding to 2x 10 Zerkers this week. Will hopefully have them built/painted slightly and test them next weekend.

The Obliterators are incredible. Just the Slaanesh ones, during an RTT over the weekend, one shot a Leviathan dread and nearly a full Sicaran by themselves, via endless cacophony.

Blood Angels, Custodes, Tzeentch, Alpha Legion, Astra Militarum, Deathwatch, Thousand Sons, Imperial Knights, Tau, Genestealer Cult.

I have a problem.

Being contrary for the sake of being contrary doesn't make you unique, it makes you annoying.

I'm not entirely sure what the best counter is. Zerkers are one of the few things that really can butcher anything if given the chance.

Possibly try a really spaced out deployment? So that when whatever they initially hit dies they can't easily consolidate into another unit. It at least gives you a little more time to blow them off their field, without them getting deep into your lines early on.

The trouble with Berzerkers is it only takes one or two models to mess you up. I play against them with Noise Marines regularly and there's always a couple left over after a few rounds of shooting. Have lost a 10x NM squads to a 2 man unit of Berzerkers more than once.

I wrap everything with CSMs or cultists when I play against World Eaters. Just keep falling back and let something else shoot.
