So I want to pick up some Oblits for use in my Nurgle army. The issue is, the official models are, well, hideous.

What suggests you guys for making non-hideous ones?

I converted three using Typhus models with converted limbs using various spawn, weapons, and Tyranids bits.

At some point in the past the Typhus model was cheaper than a single oblit blister so that's the way I went.

Preferably working in plastic.

That being said, that's not a horrible idea.

I just made some out of Taratros minis --- not Nurgle ones though.

Scale creep and "bigger is better" make me wonder why I haven't seen any one make some nurgle obliterators out of these yet:

If someone has done it, please send pics!

Chaos-ified Centurions, perhaps?

Is there a permanent stickied thread for Chaos players to complain every time someone/anyone gets models or rules besides them? If not, there should be.

Here is a pic of the Obliterators --- they don't match my army and out of sheer boredom I put skull heads in there...for no real reason. I'm selling them off so I can make some proper ones -- -just need to source better heads and some additional weapon bits.

Since nobody has posted them yet, i feel obligated to mention Spellcrow's Obliberated Knights. They're not exactly my taste, but i see how they could fit the bill. Spellcrow also offers seperated obliberater-ish arms, if you're looking at saving some time while converting.

I was thinking of using the FW MECHANICUM MYRMIDON DESTRUCTORS (https://www.forgeworld.co.uk/en-GB/Mechanicum-Myrmidon-Destructors):

Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!

Those would fit the bill nicely I think.

I have used Ogryns before. Head and gun swaps are easy to do.

Could always Google Oblit conversions too. Lots of ideas there.

Crazy idea-what if I made Tauric Oblits? As in, Centaur Oblits. Quadrupedal mutant gunmen.

I suppose. I came into the hobby after they stopped existing, but a google search says yes.

Okay-here's my current thoughts.

Take Orruk Boarboys board as the base. Add on chaos terminator torsos, arms, heads, etc. Greenstuff it together so it looks smooth.

Sound good?
