This is the next revision in trying to make the death wing work before we get our own codex when ever that is. Any advice is appreciated.

Ravenwing dark shroud- 138 pts
heavy boltor

The idea is to have azreal and the dreads set up a parking lot with the dark shroud and kill anything within 48 inches. deep strike the belial and the terminators from the flank to deal with quick or horde enemies. The land raider is their in case things get hairy.

No worries just thought you were trolling or something but yea they are monsters especially since im playing against a nid army with this list im going to need them to tie up the gene stealers and hopefully with spill over dmg wreck a large portion

Im sure a noob question but what would that benefit? im not even sure the land raider is going to be near the terminators wasting his buffs. and the reroll to hit will already be given by belial.

Asmodai's +1 Attack bonus makes Deathwing Knights 50% more valuable. Combined with the re-roll to hit, they're twice as powerful. Huge value and when it works, it's incredible. Find someone with a parking lot and open all the cans it's great.

In a 2000 point Deathwing army, I believe the most valuable HQ are, in order:
Asmodai (in land raider)
Belial (sword)
Deathwing Ancient (storm shield)

That's enough for two detachments.

Deathwing ancient isnt an HQ unit bro. and by doing that requires me to put the land raider into combat to be with the knights. The reason its there at all is to protect the parking lot from mobs.

So the Land Raider is going to sit in the backline? Would you consider having it roll up a unit of Deathwing terminators once you see deployment?

You could still send the Knights in Deepstriking and then bring Asmodai to them...

Thats a better idea however what would i cut for points? just replace belial?

Seems a pretty solid list. Maybe drop 1 Venerable since your Azrael bubble is already too much with 3 venerables+LR staying back. But still depends on what army you're playing against. 3 Venerables are ok against heavy machine lists, but against a swarm army i would go with 2 venerables max and swap the 3rd with some skirmishers.
