After months of sitting on my desk, I finally got it completed.

Yes, it does actually work - sometimes. The teeth somehow still manage to jam regularly... but I couldnt get it to work otherwise. Not a master techpriest at work here, sadly...

Lasercut from MDF, it is quite heavy and unwieldy - but that is just fitting, really.. as is the cupious amount of blood I had to apply to hide a botched paintjob.

Design and production was done by https://www.facebook.com/OCDcreations/

and I assembled (read: bodged it) and painted it up (read: ruined it)

Now excuse me, I've got some heretics to purge!

Dude that is badass! You should be very pleased with yourself.

Find a fitting place to display it and know the Emperor smiles upon you.

If it's non-lethal, can we truly call it functional?

But seriously, that's friggin sweet.

Wow that's awesome! I'm going to bother you and pick your brain in this thread now, sorry!

What is driving the chain?

I really like the chain axe too!

Might be the wrong brain to pick, the dude that designed it is probably a better choice
Plus he still does cut and sell these things, as he does with the axe

You can see the engine to the right of the chapter icon. Its a small-ish electrical engine that is powered by a 9V block hidden in the engine compartment of the sword.
Then there's basically just 2 gears and a tensioning device to drive the chain.

Good point. I should probably relable and call it non-lethal to humans. It still shreds... dunno... some insects? Count-as xenos?

Thank you

I think I will place it somewhere near my silverfox terminator bust once that arrives... GF is gonna get mad, but who cares? The Emperor is live, the Emperor is love!
