Am i crazy or does the changeling really give him the modifer buff? This thing is nearly impossible to bring down as it is!

Which is true. Also true: Plenty of tournaments have banned austerasitoplaisdpfffpffpffpff w/e his name, none have banned deathstrike

Scabbie and morty will both get buffs from Epidemius, no reason why big bird wouldn't want his main main the changeling riding on his back. Morty could be S9 and T8 with 7 attacks (21) and re-rolling DG of 1.

The fact that there is a list for morty and Magnus plus aetaos'rau'keres and they all have a big circle of buffs?? This list is pretty damn broken for 2500pts. I thought gw was moving away from death stars.

It isn't a deathstar. Also, no one plays at 2500pts for Tournaments. This is false concern.

Beyond that, most events don't allow 32+ PL, which Bans Aetaos.

I have him built into a 2000pt list. There was a match where things were well up until I chose to deep strike in eagerness to flank my opponent...thats when the tyranids ate him alive. I forgot about the his reserve and Aetos was placed in a tar pit. Mistake on my part.

I only ever play him though if I play the "WAAC" guy in our group...because that guy sees the game in matrix code and he's too good at every army he plays. The guy cares too much about winning and won't nudge on a lot of things that might put him at a disadvantage...anyways...

I have limited success with him, but his price tag is insane for what he does actually, PLUS you are practically not allowed to field daemon princes and lords of change (but no one cares about the last one).
The moment DP is within 12" gak will hit the fan.

In my experience lucky roll for +1T buff from Boon of Change gives him much more survivability, because after turn 1 he will be way beyond Changeling range, and having edge vs S8 weapons is a bliss.

He really shines in wiping vehicle-heavy armies, but infantry eats him pretty fast. And specialized things like Ynarri Reapers chop him in 2 turns reliably.

Bottom line, i do not find him particularly dreadful for 700pts.
