EDIT: BE AWARE. It's been pointed out that I incorrectly have been using the number of drops as a basis for the number of troops allowed to deep strike. The solution to this is to either keep the noise marines on the table, not infiltrating, or to drop one unit of noise marines and add a small Battalion.
Battalion: (Alpha Legion)
Chaos Lord
(Jump Pack, 2x Lightning Claws, Alluring Elixir)
Exalted Champion
(Axe, Chainsword)
40 Cultists
(Slaanesh, Autoguns)
2x 10 Cultists
Vanguard: (Alpha Legion)
Lord Arkos
Chaos Sorcerer
(Force Sword, Chainsword)
8x Berzerkers
(Icon, Chainaxes, Chainswords)
8x Berzerkers
(Icon, Chainaxes, Chainswords)
20x Noise Marines
(Sonic Blasters)
20x Noise Marines
(Sonic Blasters)
Kharybdis Assault Claw
-------------------------------------------------------------
Hello, Dakka!
I bring to you my, as it stands, next iteration of my Alpha Legion army.
This time we have a total of 8 Drops, 8 Command Points, and many, many bodies.
General idea is as follows:
Deployment - Arkos, Exalted Champion, Zerkers all kick up inside the Kharybdis. Sorcerer sits back with cultists and camp out on ruins/cover, or simply hide out of LoS. Chaos Lord goes in to reserves, and both Noise Marine squads infiltrate using Forward Operatives.
Noise Marines take position just within range of either screening units, or larger targets if applicable. Each Noise Marine squad is 60 Shots, and through VotlW and/or Endless Cacophany, it's up to 180 S4 Ap- 1d ignoring cover shots from 24" range. Very few screens, if any, will survive that entirely. This opens up the field for a turn 2 (or turn 1, if no screens) Kharybdis Bomb with the Zerkers only needing a 8" Charge, as Arkos is providing +1 to the charge distance.
Noise Boys also fire back if shot, so if I take first turn (likely, with only 8 drops) it's a near guaranteed 300~ rough shots, as the Noise Marines fire again when slain.
c/c welcome. I own all the models besides the Noise Marines, and am waiting to pull the trigger on those. Thanks for reading!

Blood Angels, Custodes, Tzeentch, Alpha Legion, Astra Militarum, Deathwatch, Thousand Sons, Imperial Knights, Tau, Genestealer Cult.
I have a problem.
Being contrary for the sake of being contrary doesn't make you unique, it makes you annoying.

It looks like you will need to rethink some things.. 50% of your units needs to deploy on the table (not 50% of drops) By your current strategy you are a long way off.
All the ideas sound good.

I'm sure I seem a little off base here, but are you sure? I feel like it's ingrained in my head that it's drop based.
I will happily reimagine things if I'm wrong, and I appreciate you pointing it out if that's the case.
Edit: Yep, you are completely correct. I've just been hyper focusing on the "Drop" aspect for far too long.
Edit 2: I mean, I'm not too far off. Simply keeping the Noise Marines OUT of Infiltration means everything is fine. With them being assault weapons, 24" Range, I could move them within range most of the time, and then move/advance/fire if necessary as well. Less flexible than infiltrating, but not too terrible.
Alternatively, drop one of the 20 Man Noise Marine squads, add a Daemon Battalion and enjoy some cheap troops.
-------------------------------------
Even simpler solution to the whole problem. Behold, 2.0
Battalion: (Alpha Legion)
Chaos Lord
(Jump Pack, Power Fist, Lightning Claw, Alluring Elixir)
Exalted Champion
(Axe, Chainsword)
40 Cultists
(Slaanesh, Autoguns)
2x 10 Cultists
Vanguard: (Alpha Legion)
Lord Arkos
Chaos Sorcerer
(Force Sword, Chainsword)
8x Berzerkers
(Icon, Chainaxes, Chainswords)
8x Berzerkers
(Icon, Chainaxes, Chainswords)
20x Noise Marines
(Sonic Blasters)
15x Noise Marines
(Sonic Blasters)
Kharybdis Assault Claw
Supreme Command:
3 Malefic Lords
Makes this now 17 units, 8 in Reserves, 11 Drops, 9 CP.
