Hi all, we've just launched a new Heroines in Sensible Shoes project, to fund some more female RPG minis. KS Link: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/oathsworn/heroines-in-sensible-shoes-3-miniatures-for-rpgs
We've got the first five minis sculpted so far, and we'll be sculpting at least 7 more throughout the project, taking input and suggestions from the backers...
So far, there's a firbolg druid, tabaxi and kenku rogues, a minotaur barbarian, and a hobgoblin eldritch knight.

After consulting with our previous backers, the the most popular suggestions are - another tabaxi, probably either a monk or wizard; a tiefling wizard, and a tiefling paladin; another kenku (probably a magic user of some sort); a dragonborn paladin; a tortle (no ideas on class or equipment yet!); and finally a human barbarian, heavy, powerful build, but not lean. That list's not set in stone though, so if you have any suggestions, please let us know!

The tiefling paladin's almost done - I should have pics of her tomorrow...

cheers
Michael

I'll grab a Tengu at least.

I hope you have a rocking Dragonborn though. That's always what I'm after!

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

Planning one! In the meantime, here's a tiefling paladin:

I don't know how I missed that thread when starting mine. Anyhow had a wonderful experience with the previous Sensible Shoes kickstarters and already backed this one.

They look good, though some of the weapons could be a bit more sensible in size. : ) Always hated the oversize weapon look. The Minotaur is awesome and I like the druid too.

Which weapons do you think are over-size, kestral?

This is, emphatically, why I will continue suggesting nuking Guard and starting over again. It's a legacy army that needs to be rebooted with a new focal point.

Confirmation of why no-one should listen to Kanluwen when it comes to the IG - he doesn't want the IG, he want's Kan's New Model Army...

Oddly, it is the dual shortswords that look the largest to me. Shrug. Miniature proportions are weird.

Thanks everyone!

It's down to two things - firstly, casting; I've done small skinny weapons before and ended up with a big pile of broken models. Secondly, the fact that the weapons are in a lighter colour makes them appear larger in the pics! Sounds odd I know, but it's a thing, honestly!

In other news, I've finished a tiefling mage, much more girly looking (girly as in wearing a dress, not 'girly mag' girly! ) and I'm about halfway through the dragonborn. Pics later!

I'm interested in the Thiefling, given how good the one from SS2 and the paladin have turned out!

Two more minis finished - a kenku / tengu shaman, and a tabaxi... maybe a monk, bard or mage, depending on what you want to do with her; I tried to keep the look as open as possible!

How come the heroines in sensible shoes aren't all wearing shoes?

When your feet don't fit in shoes, it's sensible NOT to wear them...

I'm currently busy sculpting the Kitsune; I'm hoping to finish her today, but there's a lot to do...

After the Kitsune, I'll be moving on to the final model of the Dozen; but what will it be?
The voting was close - 17 votes for the Tortle, and 21 votes for the Halfling knight riding a Mastiff.

As I said before, I'm still a bit unsure that I can sculpt the halfling on mastiff properly; so here's the plan; I'll try to do it. If it doesn't work out, I can always switch to the tortle instead!

Now on to the important bit... Freebies!

Jo's been busy sculpting three pieces of dungeon-dressing; coin-bags, a trapdoor, and a pile of books. They're 25mm across, so as to fit the common 1 inch grid that most RPG floorplans use. She's going to cast them in resin, and every backer will get a set added to their Pledge for FREE!

Hope you like them!

cheers,
Michael

Into the last few hours now, and all pledges now get a free Halfling Paladin...

So the £40 top Pledge now gets you 13 metal miniatures, and three resin pieces.
