Can anyone suggest a good metallic color to paint bullets on bases? I am purchasing some dragonforge.com bases that have bullets on them from the Urban Wasteland Set and I cannot find a good citadel color for painting shiny bullets on the ground. I tried Delta Ceramcoat paints but I cannot determine what would be a good metallic color.

I love my son and daughter. The avatar is of me and my daughter when she was very young. I miss her to death!

While it's 40K and they could be anything - any brass would do. What you'd be painting is simply the brass casing. This could also be lacquered steel (so a ruddy grey).

Vallejo has a half dozen different brass or gold colours which work.

Soviet steel case ammo is normally steel lacquered green - you see it especially common in 7.62x39mm ammo.

As to the slug itself, you'll see brass and copper most commonly, but not exclusively - I have an old .303 British round from Dominion Arsenal in '42 that's a very nickel-heavy jacket on a brass case, looks pretty sweet, I can take some pics of these rounds if you want.
