ok...now i am sold... still think the las-rifle is a bit too long...but you could add a bipod maybe...or even a small hook to get a look like an arquebuse...
but the googles and the artificial eye piece... that is creating the steampunk look needed to wield those big guns^^

now you are making cobblestones bases to go with these minis...cool^^...tho for some reasons i always assume yanks and rebs to stand on plain ground...with the odd stubble of green thrown in for good measure

Many cities were taken and retaken in the Civil War, some burned, some sacked I imagine this period being like a Cold War into the late 1800s perhaps?
