With the chapter approved point decreases, I want to try a brigade list making use of the 'mob up' strategem to make blobs of 40 boyz and then jump them. Hoping the small boy squads can stay hidden if my opponent goes first. I have a lot of kill points which is the main flaw here:

Why not a painboy as an elite choice? At 53 points in a list with many bodies he's a nice add IMHO, even better than the waaagh banner which doesn't seem that great in a list that lacks pks/killsaws.

Maybe one lesser detachment and more boyz (and even some pks) could make the list more viable.

I forgot painboy went down in price as a result of the klaw decrease.
I haven't used the banner nob much this edition, maybe twice, but it looks really good for having big blobs hitting on 2s. I can drop the 2 kustom shootas and 1 unit of kommandos to add painboy. If i drop another kommandos unit I can pick up an orderly and killsaw for the painboy and give all my troop nobz klaws. Thoughts? If banner isn't efficient I could drop him and swap 2 klaws for big choppas (from shoota boyz likely) and get the 2 kommando units back.

The banner is quite good indeed but it becomes gold when giving its buff to multiple mobs and several pks. If you merge 2 units of boyz and deepstrike them I fear the banner could buff only a few guys per turn. Ghaz already hit on 2s anyway, the big mek could benefit from it though, a killchoppa that hits on 2s would be amazing.

Still a solid option but it matches better in a list with 6x30 boyz and 6+ pks IMHO. I would keep it if you find some points to bring a few pks. The first 40 jumping boyz are fine with nobz with big choppas since they'll never receive the banner's buff.

There are some combos in this list that are very nice: merge two units of boyz into a 40 man mob, cast warpath on it and then da jump. I love it.

Wouldn't it be hard to get 6 units in range of the banner? i never have more than 2+some characters in range.

Good God, teleporting Ork mobs and like 7 squads of Kommandos with all those CP, is about my worst nightmare. Oh yea, and Gaz. I think you'll have a lot of fun with that list.

Unfortunately the wording of the mob up strategem states less than 10,not 10 or less like I thought. I also did some math to compare klaws to big choppas. klaws are only better per point spent vs t8 or higher. I'll be sticking to big choppas for now and dropping the banner guy. likely also making a new list with battalion instead so I won't need the 3 min units of boyz or 3 stormboyz. thinking about using gorkanaut again but he always gets focused down.

Strikwr tommy you are wrong it does infact state 10 or fewer.

That list looks pretty scary. Good grief even if you just stood there and let me shoot you I'm not sure my regular list could kill them all fast enough lol. Sometimes I miss pie plates. You even git Ghaz in there, very orky list.
