Ellu, I am wondering what a good finishing wash would be for red power armour (wazdakka red layer on a mephisthon red base). Are trying to paint some pre heresy thousand sons but am unsure on what wash I should give them as a finish after all base coating.

They told me i was crazy, that i could not win with an army list like that. 2000 points later i found out that they were right

If you want them bright - Carroburg crimson or Bloodletter glaze.
If you want them grimy - Earthshade

I'd then us a brighter red for drybrushing or edge highlighting after the wash.

Depends what type of shading you want to achieve. Green and purple can also be used to shade red.

I hear blue also can work.

There is also standard black and brown as well.

alternatively you could mix washes together to get a darker version of red or brown you are looking for.
