Hello guys, can you guys recommend a good quality brush for painting large guys like larger Tyranid creatures?

Researched filberts, flat, angled, etc... Not sure what brand, size, and type to use for painting my Trygon and Tervigon. W&N makes a flat kolinsky sable but not sure this is the best to use.

I know it's not actually a high quality brush, but I like to use the Army Painter Regiment brush for larger projects (or ones I can't be bothered to paint to exacting detail).

Is the brush pretty smooth? I read somewhere (can't remember where) someone was suggesting a filbert for large models.

Never used one myself but trying to get as smooth results as possible.

A bigger issue for large models is getting the paint thinned down correctly. As long as the paint is the right consistency and you aren’t globbing it on then it will hide the brush strokes.

A medium to large flat is fine.

A 1/4" filbert will do large panels just fine, I've got one from Daler and Rowney. Its quite soft and can carry a fair amount of paint.
