We all know you can get some descent abberants out of Goliath Gang.

But can you make some Neophyte Hybrids out of the Escher Gang?

They contain:

- 10 bodies – 2 each of 5 unique designs – each wearing flak armour. These have been designed with specific weapon options in mind, though of course you are free to model them as you see fit.

So here we have 10 bodies, with flak armour, the 5+ save.

- 18 heads – 2 each of 9 unique designs – 4 featuring respirator masks. There are 14 different hairpieces – 2 each of 7 different designs – which can fit onto whichever head you choose;

Probably some head swaps are in order. We all know how bold genestealers are, and those girls have crasy hair. Perhaps the 4 respirator masks can function.

- Weapons! There are quite a lot of these: 6 lasguns, 8 laspistols, 6 stiletto blades, 2 shotguns, 4 power swords, 2 autopistols, 2 shock whips, 2 needler/bolters, 2 plasma pistols, 2 chem-throwers and 2 autoguns, along with additional frag, krak and choke gas grenades, 4 sheathed stiletto blades and 2 sets of chem-synth packs.

This might be where it gets triky. Lasguns can be used (6) and shotguns can be used (2). But the chem-thrower can make a nice flamer? And the 2 autoguns can be used? Of course this excludes the use of the popular grenade launcher. (Ironicly, you get 2 in the goliath sett.)

One leader can probably be made as well, with the melee options. No banners, but the humle 10 man neophyte squad rarly uses a banner. Make 6 of the galls with lasguns. Make 2 with shotguns. Then when you buy a box of Neophyte Hybrids make 4 with autoguns and 8 with shotguns, and you have 10 lasguns/autoguns and 10 with shotguns?

Could this work? And look good as well? I realy like the rugged look of the official Neophyte Hybrids, but I could do with some female models as well. Or would the 'punk aesthetics' not mesh well with the cult?

Below are the weapons: Flamer red. Lasguns blue. Shotgun green. The autogun is yellow.

Should work, they are fairly close to the same size. If I remember correctly the hair pieces are separate so it should be possible to leave the heads bald as well (though even here, you could argue that they are pure-blooded humans simply inducted into the cult, hence full heads of hair). I don't think the chem thrower can really be used to represent any of the Neophyte's weapons but the autoguns, shotguns, and lasguns should be fine.

Also based on the previews, House Orlok gangers should make for nice Neophytes as well.

The Escher heads are made up from a face piece that slots onto the hair/rear skull, so you would either need to trim the hair away or GS the skull back into place. Not sure which would be harder actually!

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

Shurly the chem thrower could be a flamer though? Old school flamer, like they used inj the 40's. With a canister with a long nossel.

What I do not like about it though, is how uniformed the cultist miners are. The miners are really good models. Eac h essentually echasted in a small square with respetory help and the little cute flash light, so he can watch in the dark tunnels. :-)

I won't be getting into Necromunda till Cawdor (and even then probably not if GW screws up the minis), but my plan is definitely to cross-use them as cultists in 40K if possible.
