If he doesn't have a fixed Warlord Trait he gets one normally, but named characters can't have Relics.

Probably work

He has a warlord trait he must always take. He cannot take relics. This is mentioned in the warlord trait area and at the start of the relic area in the codex.

This is the same for pretty much any "unique" character.

Assume all my mathhammer comes from here: https://github.com/daed/mathhammer

Whatever his entry says in the codex.

The sidebar entitled "Named Characters and Warlord Traits" on the page where the Warlord Traits are says he uses the Cadia-specific one.

You love the T-Rex. Its both a hero and a Villain in the first two movies. It is the "king" of dinosaurs. Its the best. You love your T-rex.
Then comes along the frakking Spinosaurus who kills the T-rex, and the movie says "LOVE THIS NOW! HE IS BETTER" But...in your heart, you love the T-rex, who shouldn't have lost to no stupid Spinosaurus. So you hate the movie. And refuse to love the Spinosaurus because it is a hamfisted attempt at taking what you loved, making it TREX +++ and trying to sell you it.

His warlord take is the casual one, allowing his orders he gives to be given to another unit without using up one of his orders. He is an order giving machine.

Combined with cadias trait of they sit still they reroll ones to hot and can be ordered if they say still to reroll misses. Creed can give usually 4-5 units reroll to hit. Those lascannons can get mean.

It's worth mentioning that Creed and Relics? You have to dig back three iterations of the Guard book to figure out what his damned Relics actually are! It never spells out what his Relic is past the Doctrines book.

His Relics are his twin Hellpistols. When Creed joined our ranks with the Doctrines book(circa 2003--he first became available to us in the Eye of Terror campaign), he was given "Trademark Item(pistols)". Trademark Items were a thing that any character could have and allowed for a unit joined by that character to reroll any failed Morale or Pinning checks. If the character was slain, the unit has to pass a Morale test in order to avoid falling back.

Hopefully if/when he gets a new model and comes back as the Glorious Saint Creed(Creed Lives!), he isn't just toting a pair of stupid pistols as a relic. Maybe he has Kell's corpse as a puppet that fires flags and orders at people.
