I have another homemade one with a picture of a slice of swiss cheese on it. For extra emphasis and clarification, sewn into it in fancy letters is the word "cheese."
But ince I made it 3 years ago it's getting too small for me.

well about the blunderbuss guns, no problem there as i have lots of fantasy stuff for riders and sharpshooters and boardcrew from fantasy line there...lots of conversion work then to do, but that will be funtimes...every man will count as a new world conquered^^

for now i have pictured your beloved jack to look rather like a lament of a union jack as the queeny victoria is in deep lamtation about her long lost husband and changed per decret the colors of the once bright flag into this:



so rather no blue but black instead and thus getting all a bit grimmer than the known union jack...see for further fluff earlier pages of this thread....i am too tired righht now to search it out for ye^^

Just had a sick thought, make the whole jack Black and white, and the D red.

That Zep looks fantastic. Can't wait to see it all finished.

Don't think it's too big - at least not for Apocalypse matches. A nice, gut superheavy floating around up there, menacing the other player.

Since the rules side of the zeppelin's dead now, I'll post the rules onto here (still WIP):

points- 300pts
AV 12/12/12
can transport multiple units.
heavy support
transports up to 50 25mm bases. (10 in the cabin, 30 on top platform, 10 in the bridge)
flyer
can only move 2D6 inches per turn.
weapons- tesla-cannon, rear-mounted multi-laser, 2 pintle-mounted heavy stubbers
tesla-cannon: S- AP2 plasma Range 72"
beam- select a point on the board up to 72" away. Any units within 1" either way of the line suffer the above hit using the below special rule.
the beam gradually gains energy as it travels- measure the distance between each unit and the telsa-cannon. Use the following table to see what strength it is:
up to 24"- S6 up to 48"- S8 up to 72"- S10
30 additional models may fire from the roof of the zeppelin.
ignores crew stunned/shaken.
when it is wrecked, the zeppelin will deflate. Any models within 3D6" of the zeppelin count as being in difficult terrain. Mark out this area. For the remainder of the game, that area counts as difficult terrain and confers a 6+ cover save.
when it is destroyed, the shrapnel is flung out far away from the zeppelin. The explosion will take place in D3 turns. When it happens, the radius is 3D6 and it ignores cover (unless the squad is under a roof).
Vox-array: If a CCS or PCS is in the bridge, it automatically doubles the range of all orders, and all vox-cast equipped squads automatically hear the order.
access points- the skiff. One squad at a time (11 models max.) can drop onto the battlefield.
The skiff, when deployed, uses the following profile:
open topped, AV 12/12/12, open-topped (for transport purposes only)

Its cool to see it comeing together in its entirety. Gona be fun to paint. Its making me want to make terrain out of houshold stuff too. I'm keeping my eyes peeled at wok for polystyrene...

hi nice to see you here again^^, jep i am a big fan of householdstuff. definatly plus on the budget, but i have drained or rather shoved quite the amount on money for that project...even if half of it is salvaged from the entire family^^

also plus is a nice amount of detail that you see only when painted differently...so for this stuff one needs one hell of a vivid imagination...would be nice to see some terrain of yours then weety

Wow great update Vik , the airship base is looking fine, those plexi glass rods are Epic , can i ask where you got the from ?
The plating looks like it will work nicely , even if if it does take you a millenium to rivet and prime ;-) as for the height i love it great dramatic height is what airships and fly is all about , i say dont compromise. really hope its sturdy though , dont want all them fine painted minis crashing down on the table top lol!

cool your the second to reply to the height issue... so now i declare this height as fixed^^
well i am hoping too that it is sturdy enough.... i want to make the base and the rods to be detachable so to better move the beast...hope that this still makes it sturdy enough...will do a test with moedls and the buildings ontop...wasn´t brave enough to try it first time tho...^^

the rods believe it or not are from a special art junkjard^^ yep, in our neighberhood we have a social network place house jkinda thing thats collecting toys, rubber, wood and plastic things from apartment clearances so they can sell it rather cheaply to artists...*cough* well anyway^^ i will probably be visiting that store in the future again...lots of good stuff there, once i got lego tanktreads there too... they await usage ever since...

the good thing with plexiglas rods is they are unlikley to give in and break, really tough stuff...highly recommendable...

oh for that its all the same a britain rules the world now, the common wealth is now a galaxy wide system ruled by queen victoria so i have some samurais for close combat too^^ i would say if a whole world is under one rule you will see lots of different squads that represent a bit of a Tauish spirit^^

yesterday i aquired four AT-43 red block canned warriors that will act as sentinels for the army... i am constantly thinking karmans would be good stand ins for ogryns...

AT-43 make nice figures, I was thinking of Red Blok stuff for Khadrovians myself. They had great looking sentinel like walkers.

i have done one already since i have him now for almost half a year now, should have been a stand in dreadnought for my sons army the iron templars but instead i will now use it for the imperials... he will get a space crusade replacement out of my current earth angles chapter.... round and round it goes where it stops nobody knows...^^

no, still on the hull, when i say still i have rested a bit the work, but i will not get away with that now, won´t i?^^

yep, the mini i truly like...even as i have creed and his fellow sarge i still feel the need to hve more command minis on the airship...this thing has to have loads of ém on it and then i still need mooooaaaarrrr for the ground troups and well there is little arguments against too much HQ models...^^

well if i had the money i would probably shell it out for all five of them , cause 4 more guardsmen doenst hurt and the commstation looks also sweet to me...
by the way i got now 2 genuine death korps of krieg in my closet^^ as shown earlier and another 14 guardsmen...
as your much fitter in rules than me...well thats saying a lot...not... i have also baught some snipers from the HQ sprue.... is a sniper a heavy weapon choice in IG platoons or do they operate on theier own? because in the game DOW you could get the IGs grenade launchers and plasma pistols but i have only seen assasins then...

snipers are just weapon upgrades for men, like plasma guns and such.

victor croaks is a sarge for the ravenguard army of shrike...

he has many raven inspired characters there...like hugin and munin or other E.A.Poe related names and so forth...

Like:
commander- Lenore
battle company- muninn (one of Odin's ravens, which the raven in E.A.P's the raven is said to have been based on.
Oh and I have about 10 relations from raven guard to "The raven".
Viktor Croaks is the name of the CCS commandeer in my DKoK army, which will be allied with my raven guard.
Croaks because Vik said that that'd be a cool name for a guy, and Viktor because I said I'd name him in vik's honour.
