Thank you very much. It turns out that to get everything in a decent ergonomic layout I need to build an extension to the existing work bench. also I'll be contacting a local electrician to run some additional outlets and possibly a new circuit into the garage to run all the new shiny things.

That's the idea. The workbench that already exists has lights on a switch built in already. mostly its a need for additional outlets that are placed more conveniently.

Well that sucked. We lost power Mon at 6:30pm and only gtot it back tues @ apx 4pm.
No damage just inconvenience.

Indeed our house is kinda built into a hill so barring some major catastrophe on a Hollywood scale we are usually fine.
