If one wants to bring artifacts from different armies...

Is doing this valid?

How would it work with the stratagems?

E.G. I have three different detachments. A chaos Space Marine Detachment it chaos daemons Detachment in a thousand Sons detachment. Let's say I want to bring one Relic from each of those armies. Would I pay 2 CP or would I simply use one stratagem and pay 3 to get the two additional artifacts?

You would get one free relic for your warlord faction .

You would then be able to use each of the stratagems to gain one or two relics for each of the factions.

For one for each faction, you would get one free, pay one CP for another and an additional CP for the last.

As long as you have an AM detachment, yes.

Example: Patrol SM Detachment, with SM as Warlord. Patrol AM Detachment.

You've unlocked the AM Stratagems, so you may now use their Relics Stratagem to give a Relic to a legal target, along with the free one from the SM Warlord. You could even use the SM Relic Stratagem to get another relic for a CP.

You could in theory with that detachment setup get a total of 5 relics, 1 Free SM, 2 paid SM and 2 paid AM.

You need to use the individual armies stratagems, so you get 1 free for the warlord, can pay 1/3 CP for 1/2 extra Relics from Faction A, and then 1/3 CP for 1/2 extra Relics from Faction B.
