Hello all. I need your help. Some friends and I are going to be doing a sort of escalation league starting with the contents of a single Start Collecting box. There are a couple of rules and caveats. Kit bashing is allowed. More specifically, kit bashing a plastic character to represent a character normally only available in resin is allowed. We can't pull in extra bits from anywhere, but we can pull in extra bases if we have enough parts to build extra models.

Having said all that, I've chosen Daemons of Slaanesh. What would you guys build? The kit comes with...
1. Exalted Seeker Chariot
2. 10x Daemonettes
3. 5x Seekers

The Exalted Seeker Chariot can be broken apart to make 2x Seeker Chariots, 2x Hellflayers or a Seeker Chariot and a Hellflayer. In addition, it can make two Heralds of Slaanesh on foot... one of whom could easily be modeled to be The Masque.

Any ideas? I'm not sure what's best to take and I'm not finding many Slaanesh Daemon tacticas out there. I'm not sure what's considered good right now and don't want to build Hellflayers if Seeker Chariots are the clear winner.

Hellflayers vs seeker chariots is pretty easy in my opinion, the Hellflayers are better. They are almost identical but you get D6 str 8 attacks vs a mortal wound on a 6. It's an easy call which is more likely to be effective.

However a Herald of Slaanesh on a seeker chariot is a good choice. Its a charecter with access to psychic powers, adds 1 to your deamons strength (Which you need desperately with slaanesh deamons), has a bigger base so again spreads that 6" love out a bit more, and is T5 with a 4+/5++ save, all in all a good choice for 116 pts.

The masque + warlord = one seriously bad ass chick. It's probably the cheapest/most cost effective killing machine in a slaneesh force.

Slaanesh is going to be hard to run, but if done right you could end up with an incredible and unique force in the end. Their tactics revolve around speed and hitting as fast as possible. Seekers are absolutely amazing once you get them up in numbers. And with some of the tricks you can pull from a slaneesh deamon force you can be one tough nut to Crack.

Example : Fiends of Slaanesh are the best anti tank unit you can get. They don't do much but once they charge a tank it can't just leave combat, you basically have it locked down until something else comes to save it (don't charge vehicles that can actually fight in cc, and flyers can still escape).

Forbidden gem can literally shut an enemy charecter down for a turn, and it happens during their turn! At the start of any phase you can try, and if successful all abilities (no shooting, no psychic, no auras) are shut down. Turning a chaplain or leutinant off and the enemy not suddenly getting their rerolls can make a difference in a clutch moment.

Finally seekers with a Herald move 14+d6+2d6 rerolling failed charge, have a lot of attacks, and can really do a number to an enemy line.

Good luck with your army.

No problem. Do you plan on sticking with pure slaanesh? If so deamonettes are key in huge numbers, think 20+ per squad.

A squad of 30 deamonettes, with a Herald and a deamon prince gives them +1 str, reroll 1's. Cast the 6+++ spell and they become a better unit than you would think. Finally use warp surge to get them to 4++, it really helps.

You may want to look into a CSM detachment to get some anti-vehicle weapons. Slaanesh Daemons aside from Keeper of Secrets or Daemon Prince, do not have good ways of dealing with high T high W units. Winged Daemon Prince melee is your only anti air option.

Mathhammer wise Heralds of Slaanesh is a giant quality increase for Daemonettes and Seekers. Allowing them to wound T7 on a 5+ instead of 6+. It also allows them to wound MEQ on 4+ and GEQ on 3+.
