The basic idea is Sylvaneth Guard. I'm just not sure where to get conversion bits...

Kromlech has Guardsmen Backpacks, which seem a good start, but I'd like lasguns and whatnot too, as well as heavy weapons.

Any halp?

Anvil Industries has a metric bucketload of options when it comes to bits for Guard scale miniatures.

The Victoria minis arms and lasguns are a bit more slender than some other options. They might fit best.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

So would the Anvil Phase Rifles make good Lasguns?

Then, Phase Cannon for Lascannon, and Heavy Grenade Launcher for Heavy Bolter?

And then perhaps Bergen Rucksacks for some additional bits.

Lastly, Victoria Laser Rifles Mk III or MK I, and their Laser Pistols too.

Out of all that, which would seem to work best?

Anvil has a chunky, tacticool, 20 minutes into the future vibe.
Victoria has the retro, laz-lock, steampunky vibe.
Kinda have to figure the tone you're shooting for and go with the appropriate supplier. If you're on that wood people/ elf'y kick, Victoria is probably your best bet.

I'm interested, yet confused. How will those tree-guardsmen look like, and why do they need backpacks?

They will look like Syvaneth Dryads, for the basic dudes, since that's the base model I'm using. They need backpacks and guns because, let's be honest, if I put down a Dryad with literally ONLY a lasgun glued to it, people would not want to play me.

To be fair, I don't mind fighting dryads with lasguns, but if I did, the presence or absence of backpacks would make no difference what so ever. : )

I want to put a decent amount of effort in. But glad to know you'd be cool fighting this!

Automatically Appended Next Post:
So, Dryads on 25 mm bases would be my basic guardsmen.

Kurnoth Hunters would be my Ogryns/Bullgryns.

But what would I use for Heavy Weapons Teams? Is there anything of middling size between the two?
