As like a side project (heavens do I not need more of those) I'm planning on getting some Empire Greatswords and 40k-ing them up.
I've got the helmets sorted - I've some skitarii vanguard heads kicking about, begging to be used because they're lovely, but I'm a bit stuck for arms and armaments. I think Cadian arms aren't baroque enough, whilst marines/scouts/ scions are a little too bulky.

Does anyone know of any arms that might suit? I'm not too picky about the guns, so long as they look passably like rifles, and they are consistent.

For background, I'm going to kind of fluff them as an infantry escort for a knight - and to test out the colour scheme and motifs of said knight - so, without official rules, they're kind of flexible. I think I want them to be a troops tithe from a slightly primative agri-world.

Skitarii Ranger arms, they'd work well. The sculpting and details of their rifles would fit nicely for the Knight Guard aesthetic.

They'd look more primitive than Lasguns, as they look like Sci Fi muskets.

I've got a bunch of vanguard carbines kicking about, but my ranger rifles are all occupied between my mechanicus and my inquisition.
I had thought about using them, but I'm not sure because of all the cybernetic arms.
