Subject: Problem with nuln oil, mislabeled pot?

Been working on a massive terrain project when suddenly... Gloss finish? Did one section with one pot of nuln oil, ran out, switched to new pot for next section, and it dried glossy!? I mean like notably shiny surfaces. I'm aware that there is a gloss oil, but I'm looking at the labels and their supposed to be the same shade. The old one dries almost ashen, this new one still looks wet after eight hours. What do?
Does anyone know of problems like this? It's there a customer support for citadel paints? For correction I figured I'll just do another coat of the other mini-pot I have left for my go bag which I'm sure dries the same. But dang. I kinda feel like I want my money back. Haha I know. But seriously. Any ideas all?

I would't do a second coat, it'll come out much darker. Best way to correct is a coat of matte varnish.

I've had this happen a couple of times, too. Best to just spray everything with varnish once you're done. That will make it all match

Did you shake the pot good and proper before you started? The reason matte paints are matte is they have a matting agent in them, it tends to sink to the bottom of the pots are laying around for a while and you need to shake or even stir them vigourously to get it off the bottom of the pot and mixed evenly throughout the paint.

I'll do a test after some stirring, insufficient blend could have well been there problem, it was a new pot. Since this was all terrain and was supposed to be dingy and grimey I went ahead and did a very sparse run over with a different pot in the meantime to get the panels on the right shade before I continued, worked out very well, little heavy in some areas to be sure but it's supposed to look like an 'oil'/promethium rig so it ended up being kinda fitting. Won't want to do it again but what little is left I think will disappear in the varnish phase. Or add a well placed gleam of fresh spilled oil anyway

I’ve had this issue too. I switched back to some old pots of the previous range before they switched to Nuln oil.
