So group wants to run Path to Glory because mostly 40k players but a lot of us ended up getting starters and have general interest. I myself got a nighthaunt start collecting for christmas.

Was looking up how I would run, so downloaded book. Do some reading and it says you can use your start collecting force directly from box. I'm like neat as feth cool. Then its like check battletomes for some gak there.
That's when things just horribly got out of perspective.

I read the LoN battletome and the Path to Glory.

it gets even dumber. A Coven Throne has 5 followers, 3 more followers then in the Path to Glory book, and again, those can be blood knights. A vampire lord on foot can have 6. Again Bloodknights.

That option runs at 1700 points.

So is this all a misprint or did Nagash the FREAKING SKELETAL POPE HIMSELF write his own path to glory gak.
Anyways this cant be balanced at all right? This is way too broken compared to literally any other options.

I checked the maggotkin book to see if this was a problem with the new battletomes or just LoN. It seems like its just LoN

I don't know what GW was thinking with the legions Path to Glory charts. Just let people use the death charts from the path to glory supplement with the rewards charts from the battletome.

Yeah the rewards chart is miles better then the exceptionally simple ones provided for death in the campaign book. all the other ones are way more flushed out
