I've been trying to login to ATT (advanced tau tactica) all day and it was saying "Server under maintenance" and now it it saying "Access denied"

Is it down for good?

Its now asking for a login.
Whatever you do, don't login.
They've probably got some kind of bug that thier admins need to chase down and its taking longer than usual.

The server was painfully slow, even offline few times, the day before it went down, with a mod saying he's looking into it... Most likely not "down for good".

Especially unlikely with the codex coming out soon. Best guess, the higher load has made issues apparent that theyre now trying to fix before the codex drops.

According to other users on the Tau Reddit, there was server trouble yesterday and that this is an extension of that same issue.

The login is saying "Access Restricted (suspended)", so either someone forgot to pay the bill, or something broke deep down.

Hey guys, Tael from ATT.

Thanks for your concern - we're a small forum team and the server we provide got absolutely mauled 48hrs ago. Host shut us down and we've been noegotiating and rejigging cache mods. Core issue was a massive tsunami of 'Guest' users on our rumour topics.

The forum is live, however, only accessible by our Mods to test new tweaks. Several changes are coming into effect; Account access only, focus on member content and behaviour, updated caching code, and lastly we will reopen 3/18.

Our hosting service were very amicable given we took over a full server stack for quite awhile and ran it hard; when normally we economically 'rent' a small portion with neighbourly levels of requests.

In follow up, we regret any confusion or complication these measures may cause. ATT is supported by generous donations of time & money by our small mod staff. To ensure ATT is there for members to enjoy, we need to reorganise. You can hit us up on Twitter @ATTactica for updates.

I don't like the faction (even though I played 'em) but I LOVE a healthy wargaming community.

Thanks for the update. I suppose not everything about the impending release of a new Tau codex is for the greater good... ba dum dum tiss!
