Hey all.

Trying to decide on a color scheme for the Tau force I'm building. I've decided on doing the army in a war torn winter theme and was hoping the community could help me get some inspiration by sharing their color scheme/army pics/suggestions. I'll be avoiding the clean noble-bright look as I'm going for a more weathered aesthetic. Was possible also considering painting the army in a bright color and then white washing (WW2 winter type aesthic) but I've never attempted that before so that might be a more difficult option. So any tips on that would be appreciated as well.

Gathering the Informations.

Consider Stormvermin Fur spray. It looks surprisingly 'olive drab' when applied over black primer.

I was planning on collecting Tau but I'm not entirely convinced I'm going to get round to it. Was going to be after my Dark Eldar army, which I started working on about 2 years ago and haven't even got to the point where I can field it yet...

But anyway...

I was planning on doing a winter camo colour scheme using some digital camo airbrush stencils. Something like image 5 here - http://eyeoferror.blogspot.co.uk/2015/11/fallout-hobbies-micro-airbrush-stencil.html - but a bit lighter, maybe white / sky blue / dark grey.

I used a simple black base with grey and white disruptive pattern. Quite quick to.do. Maybe more urban/mountain than strictly.winter but I hope it helps.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!
