Anyone have experience with either, or preferably both? I'm mostly an AP paints guy, but I've heard some good things about purity seal.

Both are really good.

In my FLGS they had to reduce the price of the GW sealant to even shift their stock. And even with the "sale" price, it took them running out of army painter sealant to finally shift them.

Stick with AP - GW sealant is just far too expensive for what it is.

IMHO, I would avoid Putridy Seal. Results are inconsistent, and it's far more susceptible to environmental factors than others. I've been using Testors Dull Coat since I was a wee lad (I'm 54), and it's results are boringly predictable, no matter the temp or humidity. I've also used "hardware store" cans of matte lacquer with good results. My FLGS just recently started stocking AP, so I might give that a go when my current can of Testors runs dry.

+1 for the Testors Dullcote.

Works wonders...Doesn't change the look of your model in the slightest and it is giving it the 'play protection' it needs.

BLAH BLAH....blah.
