Cross posted from my blog for some wider feedback.

After putting together some containers for my Necromunda board, I started to wonder how such containers would actually get to wherever they are in the underhive. They are after all usually quite heavy things.

So began my latest project to distract me from painting scenery.

Spider transport ahoy

I based this on the Onager transport with the chassis extended using a defiler body I had left over from a failed walker project long ago. Scaled against an Escher ganger and a modified Sentinel power lifter.

It takes both kinds of container I've got. The GW Munitorum ones and the Plascraft ones.

Lightweight cargo cradle made from 5mm foamed PVC.

Lots left to do on it, including installing a crane.

I was thinking, however, that as well as a cargo transport you could do something similar as a troop transport for the Admech. It's maybe a tad tall for serious military use however.

Anyway. C&C welcome.

I like it but it looks unbalanced with the load sticking out so far back over the legs, I'd recommend another set of dunecrawler legs at the back, though pricey it would look more usable and less like a dunecrawler with a container stuck on the back. U going to do any work on the cab to cover weapon mounts and such?

All in all its ace. I love the look of industrial vehicles on the battle field. You know the crane of the servohaulers kit is the same dimensions as the container, footprint wise.

It's a great conversion but I also agree about the awkwardness. If you can do another set of rear legs that would be be fantastic.

Otherwise maybe some sort of counter weight like you see on some forklifts or cranes?

Or turn the crates sideways?

Thanks for the feedback guys. The unbalancedness is deliberate to a certain extent in that there are quite a lot of insects with really oversized abdomens compared to their leg coverage. The sideways use is a nice one and I'll look at that when I get home. Similarly with counterweight at the front. I've added that to my forklift walker so I could.do similar things here.

Adding additional.legs isn't really an option at this point given the amount of money I've already sunk into a random bit of scatter terrain

I've already scavenged the defiler legs for other things.

Regarding the weapon mount, I'm going to.add a crane or backhoe to that, so no covering will be required
