Trying to work out what to buy.
What models does the Imperial Knights: Renegade box actually contain?
Can the box make all the variants?

it contains one kit that can make the Knight Paladin/Errant. and one that can make a Paladin/Errant/Gallent/Warden

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two |

Well, the pictures on the website pretty clearly show the studio Crusader model ($157) and the studio Renegade Knight model ($160). Add the terrain piece ($75) and you're talking about $392 of models in a $195 box. I don't even know what to say about that.
I have no idea if they're leaving out optional sprues or something along those lines--but even if they're only giving you the base models, it seems like an amazingly un-GW-like bundle deal.

To break it down into a weapon list, you get:
two swords
two battle cannons / thermal cannons
one gauntlet
one gatling cannon
one icarus autocannon
one missile pod (with two different options)
You can make any two knights that you have enough weapons for. That does mean you can't double up on some types.

It's full kits. These limited time boxes are generally good deals.
Flip side if you just want best variant you only get one.

You get two basic Knight kits and one of the additional fist/rockets/etc sprues that you can split between the models.

GW site says 2 basic knight kits and one warden upgrade spruce. No making two crusaders out of this box.

How are we meant to repel bargains of this magnitude? I already have an Atropos, and I don't see how I can avoid getting this to run a superheavy detachment.

Since both Knights shown have Carapace weapons I was really happy and thought it'd be two Warden kits this time, Imagine the letdown when I checked the GW page
I ordered a box, anyway, to share with my brother. So we'll have to fight over who gets the gatling and no quadruple autocannon conversion to make the Knight look like my Warhammer 40k: Freeblade one :/ If I like working on such a huge model and the repose I wanna do is easy enough *and* the boxset isn't sold out right away by a miracle I might try to get him to split another box later.

You can take two carapace weapons, sort of. The Icarus and the Rocket pod use completely different parts so you could equip the knights with one of each. You can't equip them both with the same, unfortunately.

Warhammer community on FB said it’s NOT a limited box when replying to this very question... although perhaps best to ask GW yourself.
Automatically Appended Next Post: Also, seems you can buy the warden / crusader sprue on eBay - so you supplement your box set with that.

Just a quick update seeing pre-orders for renegade at £100 mark. Damn you GW, with a strong codex and a starter box with that sort of value I fear my wallet is about to be ravaged by a new knight army.

Doubtful. These kind of boxes tend to be limited. Maybe they meant they aren't limited to X print so while they are available you can buy them at will but eventually they will be phased out.
As it is this box basically invalidates regular knight boxed sets! Would be pretty corner case where it makes sense to buy individual knight rather than this.

Expect this to be available for 3-6 months, then gone.
That's what GW did last time, very successfully.
