Armigers provide some ranged-shooting element DG missed.
However, it would still have a hard day when facing massive T8 targets, just like most other DG lists...

Imho I think the crawlers it’s better in all ways

PBC's with a Poxbringer have few issues with T8 targets. Also, you can take Shriveling Pox to drop T8 targets to T7.

That said, I don't feel like Armigers are necessary for Chaos... many people are making lists with em, I'd love to see reports prove me otherwise, but we shall see. Also, I feel like a tree is a better use for a detachment slot; it provides so many benefits if your running Nurgle Demons.

Don't have my Daemons codex on hand but Poxbringer I thought raised +1S for profile , not individual wep strenghts.. so how does it help PBC?

Spitters use the models strength for its power.

what i doubt is... against a skilled player i dont think a PBC will never get in range to any veichles with T8 (IK for example), you must forget about simple 4 Ik's on the table, they now will bring some cheap bodies to protect them, im not sure a PBC can deal with 3 IK's behind 60 plaguebearers for example, they will never get in range with flamers. Btw agree the tree is a nice addition in particular if you play things like PBC

I used 2 autocannon armigers last night in a game and they took down Magnus in 2 rounds of shooting. I found they struggled and didn't do too much against his rubrics after that as the -1 isn't that great against infantry shooting from cover. They are nice to sit on objectives in the backfield while my 3 PBC flamer tanks move forward to flame stuff. I really like them so far but only have 1 game in with them.
