So with the FAQ on warscrolls taking precedent, I assume Ripper dactyl's can get their endlessly generated attacks again? Obviously some only moderately decent rolling comes into play here, but they can easily get rerollable hits and wounds with each hit generating new attacks.

Is this now legal? I cant find anywhere in the Core Rules or the GHB2018 that invalidates it.

It's looking that way at the moment. Their Warscroll on GW's site isn't updated, and I haven't seen any errata other than "remove the summoning spell", and there's no provision for not allowing endless extra attack generation in core or GHB that I found.

There's several warscrolls that need to be fixed in the new edition to bring them into line. I'm waiting for people to realize how OP a certain Tzeentch battalion is now...
