Hi guys,

I was wondering how this list would do on a semi-competitive level.
Mainly I'm scared of facing Imperial Knights or Astra Militarum. Not sure how how this list would fair against Drukhari since I don't have any experience against them.

Here's the General idea behind the list:

The Daemon Prince will stay close to the Oblits when they come in and the Poxbringer will follow my PBC's.
The Locust of Nurgle will give them double dmg on a wound roll of 6's, which will be insane for the oblits if I roll good on their dmg dice.

The Daemon Prince with Corruption will be my tank hunter of some sort. With Corruption he has Str 9, +1 to would with Virulent blessing (so wounding T8 on 2+) and 6's to wound will cause a mortal wound and double dmg in addition.

Offcourse, Epidemius at Tally 5 will make my PBC's str 8 Flamers, Str 9 with the poxbringer nearby, so wounding T8 on 3+ again .

Let me know what you think and point out any improvement or flaws, I'm sure U guys can come up with a solution .

with just 9 nurglings you have no chances im sorry, then no sense play Dp's without wings, for me Epidemius is overrated, when you start get the nicest bonus you usually are already winning so is just an overcosted herald with no pyschic powers.

I like this list, and feel it will do extremely well.

However, we have had this argument time and time again... I disagree with Epidemus. Some matchups, yes, he won't do much; but hes still a big threat, holds backend objectives, and generally opponents will focus a ton of resources to eliminate him. Some matchups hes ace, for example facing IG blobs or cultists can stack your tally quickly, which snowballs and means opponents MUST deal with him. I will say, having T7 Demon Princes and T9 PBC's is a thing of wonder. But I did lose a game recently versus Eldar where my tally was maxed, but it forced my opponent to spend 3 full ravagers and a bunch of otherstuff just to drop epidemus, so it was worth it.

@Tokugawa: You'll get mixed reviews regardless, I liked your original list, but I do feel that Plaguebearers in general are so powerful your gimping yourself not using them. I also echo Blackmage, you always want wings on princes. Lastly, Scrivener adds so much to PB's, he amps them to 11; gives them a threat range of 7"+2d6+1, plus if they roll 6's to hit you get even more hits (and makes them WS 3+)... so damn good.

How would you play the Plaguebearers and Shrivener? Would you deepstrike them in or move them up the board?
I really like the idea of the Chaos Sorcerer since I'll have access to an extra smite and Death Hex vs those invul saves on Knight and other.
I must agree with Zid on Epidemius. He's a bullet magnet. Often I had my opponents deepstrike at my backfield do kill him and let my DPs, oblits and PBCs be. He dress that much fire :-). I'm probably gonna try both lists but with a chaos Sorcerer instead of a Chas Lord.

Yes, I have the same experiences with Epidemus. If anything, if hes not good in the matchup, put him near the front to bait good stuff. Hes actually really hard to kill, essentially a 100 point demon prince on foot lol.

What would you add to your list of it was a 2k game? Another unit of PBs or a unit of oblits and a chaos Sorcerer?

i always play 2x30 plaguebearers so i can suggest you that.

Another unit of plaguebearers seems good

with all those rampaging IK's i guess 30 more Pb or 30 Bl might be a decent choice

the list is ok, you can get good results when you get used with it, just give a mark to cultists and Lord ,u dont know maybe you will need.
