Hi All,

Just wanted to share a little project with everybody and also gauge interest to see if it is worth making a few sets for sale.

One of the major issues i have encountered with Necromunda is the creation and management of gangers, i was left with the option of either making copies of the cards and editing them in photoshop etc, laminating the cards which would require a laminator an plastic sheets or getting a dry wipe pen which may ruin the original cards or just rub off at the worst possible moments, so i decided to create a dataslate to hold blank cards which could be easily written on and wiped off at a later date with a fine line marker pen.

So this is the blank slate.

Custom Ganger Made:

Same slate but gang member changed

And finally the slate holds the hired guns and bounty hunter cards quite well without the need to glue them to card or laminate.

they are home made and not exactly perfect but they do their job, would be good to get some feedback and if anybody is interested in a set please drop me a message or an email at jaydeeotoole(at)gmail.com.

Your execution looks ver practical. How tall are the edges? Cause you'll need 10+ per gang sooner or later.

I dropped the cards alltogether, sticking to the good ol' tried and true roster.

Sides are about 5mm this is because there is a groove around the sides so an elastic band can be fitted to keep everything together when assembled, there is also about 1mm indent all around the edges of the display so it makes it harder to rub off info by accident.

I like your effort, some good thoughts behind it.

I did this for xwing cards a while back. It wasn't super successful but an empty dvd case provides a good rigid backdrop for clear plastic overlay on.cards. not as elegant as your version, but possibly easier to.come by.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

I do like that idea actually I may have to keep that in mind for future project ideas.

To answer a previous question a standard stack of 10 is about 65-70mm high, Each item weighs in at about 45g which is for the plastic shell and perspex sheet screen.

I've been also messing about with some editing software to make custom printed cards.

I don“t want to rain on your parade but there are only three things which imo are needed to manage your Neccromunda roster:

1. Index cards.
2. Pencil.
3. Rubber.

You can even tap those index cards to show which ganger has already acted in a round. It is a dirt cheap approach and it is baffling for me why people insist to print these gang cards.

I can see pro's and cons to each, you mention that you are using index cards, to me this is pretty much the same principle.

I find this method useful since I can keep all the original starting gear for each gang member so if I want to start a fresh gang war cycle i can just rub off all the alterations on the card and start fresh, they also act as a gang roster so if anybody has been captured or seriously injured i can just write a note on the top of the card.

During the game i can also tap these cards as you mentioned to remind me if they have acted or not and flip them over if they are out of action etc...
