Hello all,

Just sharing a couple of photos of some of my recent projects, first up is a Shield Captain for my expanding Custodian force.

The whole army took a while due to my inability to get a gold shade I liked, eventually I found a good one, and this guy is just kitbashed from the Custodian box, I prefer him much more than the "holding the spear at my side, other hand on the Misericordia" look on the box. I also gave the gemstone paints a go, just the blue one painted over Vallejo silver, very happy with the result, is a nice complement to the gold and red.

Next up is my take on Lias Issodon. Shame that FW never bothered to make a model for him but I'm very happy indeed with this one.

Please excuse the general crappiness of the photo, I'm still experimenting with getting good photos. He's a simple kitbash from various Marine kits, and I think it's a particularly good pose, crouching in cover, casually gripping his rifle while he waits for the moment to strike.

Would love to hear some feedback on these guys, if people are interested I can upload some more photos of the Custodes and Marines in general.

Custodes looks good. Gold is lovely. His tassels around his groun look like they could do with a bit of shade and highlight but that could just be the pic.

As for the other fella. I love the pose. It looks exactly like you describe. Not familiar wotnthe character so can’t say any more other than great work.

Love the custodes! Care to share your scheme? Wanting to do a unit of them at some point, your gold is perfect!

Thanks, I'm currently working on the tassles and associated bits, gets a bit tiresome when there's 15 of the guys to do. I'm having trouble with the tassles however in that I can never get the highlighting right.

The other guy in question is the Raptors Chapter Master, armed with a monstrous S5 Ap-4 Boltgun and can DS 3 other squads in with him, getting a 0+ save in cover. He's a very love/hate character.

Thank you very much It's Vallejo Glorous Gold airbrushed over a black primer coat. I then applied GW brown wash with the focus on staining the flat areas more than getting into the recesses.
