I want to paint a riptide without an arm like it just fell off him during a battle, but I don't really know how to do that. I was thinking about cutting off the ball at the torso but I don't know how to represent the insides. OR cutting a part of an arm and painting around a cut in black in order to show that it's damaged. any ideas? I'm even thinking about melting a bit of that arm

Find some plastic tubing and some wiring and stick it where the arm should be. Once it's all painted up it should look like the arm was wrenched off.

Ask yourself: have you rated a gallery image today?

If you want good.melta damage then take a.soldering iron to.the model. Just don't breathe the fumes as they are pretty toxic. And try not to.let it.catch fire

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

A soldering Iron is defintely the best option for creating the 'damage hole'. Once it's there you could fill it up with technical looking stuff . Like Mr Nobody said, you can make some actual wires stick out, or even a small technical board if you have an old arduino kit lying around.

Outsmart what you can't beat, and beat what you can't outsmart.

I tear out and keep a cache of old motherboards and inside bits from broken electronics for doing such things.
