Caveat this by saying I dont know much about military weaponry. So pinch of salt with the names.
What do you think you could take out in the 40k universe?
Scenario 1:
Just you. your fists.
Scenario 2:
You are now armed with a standard military knife/blade/hth blade.
And also some form of "ranged" weapon - baseball bat, golf club, hockey stick, hurley. (why does that auto correct - the hurely is a modern staple of Irish hth combat )
Scenario 3:
You now have a pistol/handgun. 1 clip (9mm or the like?) and combat blade.
Scenario 4:
You now have a semi/automatic rifle/machine gun - 1 clip and combat blade.
All scenarios are fought in a standard suburban 2 storey house. You start on top floor. Enemy on bottom.
All of your 40k opponents are unarmed.
So, say you think you can take an Ork boy - he has just his fists.
Say you think you can take a Necron warrior? Just its body and fists.
A termagant - no fleshborer etc.
How far can you go? Who can you take out?
(Me? Maaaaaybe a ratling or Gretchin?)

1-2 A grot, a conscript, a ratling
3 A grot, a conscript, a guardsman, a boy, a firewarrior, a termagant, a ratling
4 A grot, a conscript, a guardsman, a boy, a firewarrior, a termagant, a ratling, a hormagaunt, an eldar guardian
1 - Myself, by accident
2-4 - Myself, by accident but with increasing efficiency
Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

"You need not fear us, unless you are a dark heart, a vile one who preys on the innocent; I promise, you can’t hide forever in the empty darkness, for we will hunt you down like the animals you are, and pull you into the very bowels of hell." Iron - Within Temptation
Nobody, even a bloody conscriupt has more military training and is in better shape then I am. as I lack any training or proficancy in firearms I'm likely to be of questionable effectiveness with it.
Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two
I could take out Angron. My mutant ability grants me luck like Domini, and he’d probably trip over a wing tip and impale himself on his own axe to bleed out slowly.
Aka...I could handle a Gretchin or a Guardsman trained to die horribly from his own plasma pistol exploding.
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

I swear, the first (and last) time I get my hands on a pistol and I trap anything in a room, it would be like this :
That said, a necron warrior is probably easier to beat than a grot. Just use a logical paradox, and slowly push it (can't throw it. Too bloody heavy) out the window when its still trying to solve it.

You seem to be under the impression necrons are robots which they are not. Besides, they'd just kill you on sight anyway and wouldn't listen to a word you said.

Except they are though. I know GW is trying their hardest to make them metal space egyptians, but they are still robots. They are made of metal, they have circuitry and they use words like "protocol" and in their very own introduction in the 8th ed codex they are described as machines. They are robots. And besides, that was a joke. A necron will shoot on sight. A warrior is pretty dumb though, so it might be possible to outsmart it.

They're cyborgs. They have bodies of metal but they were originally organic. If I remember correctly it's only really the flayed ones and lords that remember though. It has been a while since I've looked into their lore.
I think most of us would probably just die from the atmosphere of whatever hole of a planet we were on is this scenario anyway though. Either some pollution or disease our body couldn't handle or even just be driven mad by chaos from ambient warp energy because we've grown up in a reality without the warp unless that would somehow make us all blanks. If we were blanks after coming from a reality without the warp I might be able to off someone who relies on psychic ability to see or something otherwise I think the only thing I'd realistically have any chance killing in the 40k universe is myself.
Pretty sure there still has to be an organic component to be considered a cyborg. There is nothing organic left in a necron. They were certainly organic in origin, but nothing of that remains now, not even their souls, which is what you'd think would separate an organic consciousness from a machine AI, a la Ghost in the Shell.
Admech are certainly cyborgs, as their bodies are a fusion between organic and mechanical parts. There is nothing organic about necrons.
Flayed Ones remembering they were organic once is old lore. Now they are just cursed necrons who want to eat people. Which is pretty lame, and not quite as interesting, imo.

I guess it's all a matter of perspective. The lords still have their sentience and personalities but the rest were essentially lobotomised. I personally consider them cyborgs because they're driven by the consciousness of an organic being instead of an AI and I still consider someone who'd been lobotomised to be human. I guess it's all a bit of a grey area though.

Wouldn't the term be android rather than cyborg?
Android is probably a more accurate term for a necron, yes. They are vaguely human shaped (well, human skeleton shaped, anyway. The proportions are all wrong, but its close enough).

To be fair, the word robot isn't as clear cut as most assume. For instance the DeRo of the Shaver Mysteries stood for deviant robots. DeRo are supposed to be biological creatures but they were basically created by their masters to fulfill certain functions
He is still wearing TDA whether sans arms or otherwise.
To answer OP. Nothing....knowing my luck I would be lobotomised and turned into a servitor within an instant of arriving in-universe and set to cleaning the Imperial palace from top to bottom with only a toothbrush attachment.

Please note, for those of you who play Chaos Daemons as a faction the term "Daemon" is potentially offensive. Instead, please play codex "Chaos: Mortally Challenged". Thank you.

Are they dumb? Sure, they uncaring killing machines, but they're very advanced killing machines.
Warriors are described as having pretty simple AIs / programming / whatever the hell necrons have now. Unlike immortals, which are capable of tactics and squad maneuvers, warriors are only really capable of marching forward and shooting anything that moves. Which means that in theory, you could trick them by luring them into an obvious trap. Like using a mirror or something.

I could do em all. Kung Fury style. Either use my laser nunchucks or the Spirit Spear. Or maybe I'd just run em all over in my 1982 Corvette Convertible Custom Corvette Cyber with nitrous oxide and a 56k modem, sattelite bag phone while drinking a Pepsi, chatting up their sisters too.
Considering my opponent is not armed with anything, meaning that a Cultist or Guardsman is someone in much better shape than I am (I would assume each Guardsman is equal to a military professional).
Scenario 1 (slappers only): A single Snotling. Yup, one of those things even the Grots pick on.
Scenario 2 (knife & a good club): Up to a Grot or Ripper (though not a swarm). Possibly a Nurgling, though I'd try to run away and likely die later due to illness.
Scenario 3 (pistol): Up to a Cultist, assuming I can take a defensive position on the stairs and he isn't able to get up to the second floor any other way.
Scenario 4 (machine gun): Up to the same Cultist. If the Electro-Priest has no functioning equipment at all (can't shoot electricity), then maybe him too.
