I am new to 40k and started by getting the First Strike box to get me a simple Kill Team set up, I also got a box of Scout Snipers, I was wondering if it would work if I took the tip off of one of my unused sniper guns to create an auxiliary grenade launcher since it seems to just be another barrel attached at the bottom? Any ideas or suggestions would be awesome.

Any tube-like object could work.

I personally used the grenade harness from the top of the plastic 30k terminators for my conversions. You might also look at cut down scopes, missiles, or other like objects.

As you say, it’s just a tube under the barrel. Fins something that you think looks right and run with it.

I trimmed down a lasgun and bored out a big hole in the end. You can see it if you zoom in on this pic in my gallery

Any tubes like that work, you can also use similar diameter rods to make suppressor or reflex scopes for bolters.

Cool, thank you all for helping me make sure that it worked the way that I was thinking. I also liked the idea of the lasgun as a possible option.

You could also take one of the sniper scopes, trim down the magazine a bit, and make Stalker Bolt Rifles pretty easily..
