So I'm looking at Arbites as an IG force similar to the old scion airborne formation.

I've seen several alternates and conversions with scouts over the years, some decent some not so much, but was wondering with the amount of new companies over the last couple of years and being a bit of touch with the community for a while if I was missing something great.

So my question is have you seen any sweet alternatives or conversions? Please share.

I stole their idea and made a couple myself for my inquisition. I used an orlock shotgun for one of them (needs a little bit of work at the shoulder joint, but it's not too bad), and the other one has militarum tempestus arms (plasma gun, and the arm that points forward). The MT arms don't work as well because you can still see some of the MT shoulder pad underneath the shoulder pad from the BB mini. But there are plenty of options for arms I guess.

You can also get some good results with the armoured parts from Anvil's Regiments range. These use Anvil torsos, legs and arms, a mix of Anvil and GW weapons and Ad Mech Skitarri helmets.


Shipping smaller orders to Australia might get pretty pricey though, they're based in the UK. Free shipping if you spend £40 in one go though.

Thanks, love those shoulder pads. Want to keep some of the judge dredd design aspect.

I made some riotpolice to be count-as crusaders.. Heads are from maxmini (space police head), torsos from anvil infustry (heavy armour torso) shields and batons were from Zinge Industry, and finally legs are Scion legs.

There's an arbites group on FB with some good images and lots of ideas.

I picked up a few RT and 2nd edition Arbites a few weeks ago and have been brainstorming on how to do a full force.

The two easiest GW options are SM Scouts or Van Saar with Skitarii heads. If you're ambitious and have more money than sense Scions with Orlock Shotguns and Skitarii heads.

For 3rd party models Anvil and Mad Robot both look really good to me.
