Feasting on the souls of unworthy opponents

Hello!

A battleforged Drukhari army gets "Vanguard of the Dark City" - where all troop units control objectives, even if the enemy outnumbers them - unless the enemy has a similar rule.

Is that basically the "objective secured" rule? I thought it was special when I first read Vanguard of the Dark City, but now it seems like perhaps everyone has a version of it, which means no one gets anything special?

Every army gets a version of this yes.

Some are slightly tweaked, like for Custodes all INFANTRY and BIKER units get it, not just Troops (because they have so few troops anyway).

You get loads of special rules, this just isn't one of them

Everybody has one. Just some differences on who gets one.

Just wait for GW to bring superior version of this that trumps this one.

Or a special rule for an army that just cancels Objective Secured rules.

on the other hand Nobz they decided it was in the best interest of ork society that they "Go Green" as such they specifically modified their warbikes to not make giant smoke, dust, grit, clouds. Instead they are all about driving with clean air, one might say their bikes Gak out rainbows.

It is a bit odd who gets it and who does not.

IG Infantry Squads do, but for some reason once they are experienced and become Veterans, they forget how to hold objectives.

It's beneath them to do it at that point, it's a job for the grunts.

Sure, if you think about it too much.

From a game standpoint, the entire purpose of the rule is to give basic troops a proper role that encourages you to take them.

More like another way to punish armies without auto include troops.
Not like you need to take them anyway for CP
