Nottingham (yay!)

I’m looking for bird-type wings to put on Daemonettes to make Harpies.

Dark Eldar Scourge wings are nice but would be a very inefficient source of the parts and need a load of cables removing, is there anything else that might work?

Scourge wings do appear fairly often on ebay even in the UK (I've been buying them for my Daughters of Khaine).I just use the wings as is and don't use the back-pack part of the model (its not needed really). The pipes and tubes on the wings themselves are fairly muted and if you paint them in a nice shade of gold they can appear like a fine chain decoration strung into the wing, as opposed to an electrical cable.

Though for a mass unit like Deamonettes they might be quite costly and time consuming to get enough.

The other issue is that they are open wings rather than closed. They work great on my Khinerai who naturally have wings and are on larger bases, on a smaller base they would be hard to fit in together on the ground when fighting (unless you can get tem in the air or standing on rocks so that you've staggered their heights across the unit).

hmm...I was going to suggest these, but they probably won't work too well...same amount of feathered wings as in a box of scourges, but it's £7 more per box...

...of course, if you're not dead set on them being feathery bird wings, tyranid gargoyles are probably your best bet, GW-wise, for wings/£ ratio...

also not bird wings, but Khinerai wings would probably work quite nicely on daemonettes...also kinda expensive though

...it's good to be green!
