Did give this a search through the forums but didn't find anything, but iv'e just got the new imperial amour and there no chimera in there with the option of atuo-cannons. I know friendly games i might be able to take them if my opponents okay with it, but officially is that the end of auto-cannons on chimeras?

The Imperial Armour Index Forces of the Astra Copywritum errata added the option to take autocannons on Gryphonne Pattern Chimera. You cannot take autocannons on normal Codex Astra Copywritum Chimeras.

Keep in mind the Forge World books are not worth the paper they are printed on, there is almost more errata than actual rulebook.
