What are good ways to make flyer stands stick better to your models?

In my case it'd be for Destroyers, Arks and Tomb Blades (Necrons).

I understand that whatever I do, eventually wear and tear will make them loose again, but if i can do something once every 3 months to live happier, I'd be fine with that

Necron models are hard on flight bases. You may be better of replacing them with something more solid. A simple fix is clipping off the flimsy plastic rod froom the base, drilling a hole in it's place that is sized correctly to take a substantial (2mm or so) brass rod or nail instead. Glue that into your model and it is unlikely to bother you again.

well im assuming that you havent glued the models permanently to the stems for transport reasons.

i would simply just use blu-tac.
wrap a thin layer around the stem and push the model down.

Both methods work. I prefer and use the drilling and brass rod method. It is a little more work, but lasts much longer...especially for larger and heavier models. In my Elysian log I show how to mount FW aircraft to flying bases and they are heavy resin and take a pounding from moving them and using them on the table top.

My two cents,
