Weird, someone just said something very similar to that to me on another page...

I can sort of see quite a few people spending that much on the GW Website over Christmas, esp since something like a terrain pack and army deal could easily get near to the £250 mark.

That said its a kind of weak offering when the case is probably only £10-30 retail (with £30 being the upper overpriced limit); at the very least I'd hope those spending that much are getting GW exclusive models/deals/packs becausae you could fast make far more saving going for a3rd party retailer.


Still its nice to see and we shouldn't all complain that free stuff isn't as free/good as we would always like. Of course overseas prices and price hikes do tend to make the offer appear even more insane.

Gift with purchase amounts need to be set by region, not just run through a regular GW price converter, otherwise they leave themselves open to ridicule (justified in this case). Imagine being the poor guy behind the till trying to upsell that, "Yeah, just spend more than, um, $826, and you get this free pencil case".

That's very true, esp when the 3rd party retailer around the corner can likely undercut that $800 by quite a significant drop. Even 5% off would net you more than $40 difference which would more than pay for a brushcase and more.

If you bought Knights or huge AoS heroes its even less than 10. However if you buy troops its LOADS more

Those are the brush cases that were sold in very limited numbers at store B/days last year there was an Aquila paint mat to match it too , i got a couple of them for members of the FB anti-scalping loot group and the cases cost £12.50 each!

I must say they are nice cases but i was proper shocked to see the extortionate price on the NZ website last night and our £250 isnt much better for a £12.50 case!

On the plus side, it would keep your brushes protected from the wind and rain when you're kicked out of your house by your spour for spending $250+ in order to get a free $5.00 case....so there's that.

I actually like it / now want a brush storage thing.

Can anyone recommend a company who sells a good one, (without the crazy spend needed!). £12.50 I’d probably pay for one
