If you’ve yet to experience Black Library audiobooks and audio dramas and want to give them a go (or if you just want to expand your collection), there’s a great way to do so coming very soon, in the form of the new Black Library Audio Humble Bundle, Voices from the Worlds of Warhammer.

This is a specially curated collection of audiobooks and audio dramas from the worlds of Warhammer 40,000, Warhammer Age of Sigmar, Warhammer Chronicles and The Horus Heresy. It includes some of the greatest stories from those settings, including Horus Rising, Slayer of the Storm God, Dark Imperium and the entire Knights of Vengeance audio drama series.

There are a total of nearly 25 audio adventures in the bundle, across three tiers of content – the first of which you can get by paying as little as $1 (or local equivalent). Unfortunately most Humbles these days are 3 set prices as opposed to the older pay the averages setup which could work quite well.
Either way, as long as I don’t have most of the audios ll probably get it. (I have all the Heresy and Slayer of the storm god, soo let’s wait for that full list

)

I really like how BL is doing a lot to get much of its extensive library out there at present. Lots of bundles and books and things like this makes it a LOT easier for new people to get a foot in the door on an otherwise large franchise of written material.

And considering audio books are £30 eqach from GW it’s not bad.
Depends how many are just dramas though, as they’re short compared

So is this stuff any good? I did read a couple of the abnett books a good few years back which were okay but nothing special.
Are these similar quality?

I need something new to nod off to in the evenings, feels like I've exhausted all the cosmology lectures I can find on youtube.

A lot of it is older / earlier stuff, but some good classics in there.

Also, for those who don't want to give GW a single penny or feel it should be going to some place good, you can decide where the money goes by picking a UK or US charity of your choice, like in my case Help for Heroes.

Some others unknown to me, but I’ll listen.

Longworth and Keeble read most (all?) and they’re very good.

Some of the books are like someones tried funneling a novel through a thesaurus, to the point of being hard to follow.
Most of it's pretty good to listen to, even if none of it is particularly great from a literary point of view - I enjoy them, but I also enjoyed Sharknado.

Although that’s the audio book readers.

I would add there are only three books here, one per pay band.
The rest are (much shorter) audio dramas.
(Personally I think they’re still worth it

Closer inspection it looks like I have 15 of the dramas and one of the books.
I want Dark Imperium, so it’s just £11 odd for that with a load of Sigmar stuff I don’t have (and maybe two 40k dramas I’ve not gotten yet - newer stuff).

I was onboard until I realized how many are audio-dramas...something I'm far less interested in. I do a lot of driving (read: a lot) and I was hoping for some proper audio books. Looks like those are scant here.

Shame, so I may pass. Really enjoyed the black library bundle for the HH books a year ago.

Managed to listen to quite a few of them while working these last few days and it's a bit of a mixed bag, but YMMV, as I personally find some entries a bit pointless and more of a filler type meant as a prequel to another novel or a bit of author spank. It's also very much a case of a lot of these being from their early recording days, so quite limited in voice cast, meaning a lot sound alike..

Red is nope, orange is okay, green is good, but as always, YMMV, this is simply my opinion on what I've heard so far.
