I've used this stuff on a marine. I used the purple/green, and usually it looks like he's painted a sort of purply bronze except occasionally when the angle to the light is just right and he appears green unexpectedly.


I actually found that, while painting this figure, I kept forgetting that it was Color Shift because I was always at the same angle to the light I work under.

I think that was two or three coats. I'm not sure how many a can can do, since I only did this one guy to test out the paint. A gloss varnish would probably help. Try spraying it on a model you don't particularly care for.
