Now that GW has stopped selling separate square bases, does anyone know where to buy square bases that are the most similar to GWs?

I assume you mean ones that match GW's style, or just the size? Size-wise you can get loads of square bases from Renedra, but they're not lipped like GW's bases. I'd imagine you can find them on eBay quite easily. Many companies made similar bases.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Post in the Swap Shop. You might find several members with left overs (or if in a gaming group they might ask around and find a larger lot). I have some of the 25mm and 40mm...but I sold off all my 20mm except for one,

I've gotten a lot of those TG-bases that Big mac linked to in both rounds and squares. Highly recommended.
