He's a perpetual so I wonder what his rules will be like, if its like Celestine he's going to be a beast, I mean he has to be somewhere near Guillimans stats and rules, but then adding the fact that he can come back to life, he's probably going to be a beast.

Earth

He doesn’t have the perpetual rule in heresy so is very unlikely to have it in 40k, especially as that’s now guillimans stick

Could just gain a wound per turn in that case though

Yeah but the 30k is a different game all together, TS's for instance don't have psychic powers if I remember correctly.

So basically Guilliman's Stateline.
A hammer which would probably Sx2 - 4 3D
Some functional flamer weapon
And an army wide buff as opposed to moar rerolls?

I think D should at least be a flat 3 as he is the strongest Primarch.

Agree with the flamer; silly without some sort of fire.

I'd like an insanity rule, like when he became insane after being tortured by Cruze, the more wounds he takes he adds attacks or something like that and you can offshoot it with lower BS/WS so its not OP. Though that is a bit too close to Angrons rules.

Does the perpetual thing really kick in fast enough to be useful in combat? I haven't read the Heresy stuff for Vulkan.

If we assume that Guilliman's thing is his ability to lead armies, then we can safely leave that particular aura on Guiliman only. Vulkan's thing always seemed to be his craftsmanship, so maybe you just give him a Guilliman statline with better gear? Maybe some of the relics that Hestan is currently toting around? Except that that would basically translate to making him a better beatstick than Guilliman, and Guilliman is already about as scary of a beatstick as I'd care to see in 40k. You could make him cheaper than Guilliman, roughly as much of a beatstick, but less of a commander, but then he'd just feel like the "weaker" primarch.

I kind of wish they'd decided to leave Guilliman's combat prowess a little toned down (because he's slowed down by his life support armor or something) to leave a little more room for melee bamfs.

Maybe have him be the anti-vehicle guy? Like, maybe his aura adds 1 to the damage inflicted against enemy vehicles or something?

ATTENTION
. Psychic tests are unfluffy. Your longing for AV is understandable but misguided. Your chapter doesn't need a separate codex. Doctrines should go away. Being a "troop" means nothing. This has been a cranky service announcement. You may now resume your regularly scheduled arguing.

Yeah, when fighting Cruze, Grammaticus Damon etc. he healed while fighting, even from his brain getting caved in. Yeah Guilliman was never known for his CC ability, but he's GW apple polisher so he'll probably be better than Russ and the Lion in CC knowing GW.
