Doesn't really look like a Genestealer model, so any ideas of what we're looking at?

Meh. Funko sucks, Nendoroids are much better.

Dakka does have White Knights and is also rather infamous for it's Black Knights. A new edition brings out the passionate and not all of them are good at expressing themselves in written form. There have been plenty of hysterical responses from both sides so far. So we descend into pointless bickering with neither side listening to each other. So posting here becomes more masturbation than conversation.

I saw someone say they look like this (non-40K) alien race and I agree...

If it is a Funko pop we could end up with 40K merch on supermarket shelves. Those things are everywhere, and with some really odd character choices for "mainstream" stores.

If it's a Pop! there are going to be a ton of them. First wave will likely be 4-6 molds, with color variants/minor alterations (like no helmet) at various locations like gamestop, best buy, etc.

It was only a matter of time, Funko is one of those things that manages to get attached to almost anything pop culture related.

If we are going down the chibi / big head + small body road, I'd much rather see an articulated Cu-poche style model myself.

edit.

Someone on Facebook has already whipped this up, which is a close enough idea of what it will look like:

The same as any other bobblehead. It's a collectible.

To challenge ork looters... I have an idea for a stompa using one, but I suspect the material will make it hard.

Maybe, but GW is not going to be making these. They've given Funko (who makes bobbleheads of just about everything nerd-related) a license to use their IP to make these.
